One of Japan’s top steel companies, Kobe Steel (aka Kobelco) is a metal supplier for iron, steel, copper, aluminum, welding, infrastructure, plant engineering, machinery, electronics, real estate and advanced materials. The company also provides wholesale power supply, operating two power plants in Kobe. Its real estate division rents, manages, and sells properties. A joint venture with US Steel— PRO-TEC Coating Company— produces hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet as well.
